I'm sure initially I didn't have an option to browse my PC to upload an image under Edit Avatar - I was only able to upload from the gallery? I played around with things and the browsing option appeared. So I've reloaded the photo now and I can see the avatar!

Still can't see some other peoples' avatars though?

There does seem to be a problem with avatars. Can't figure it out at the moment, need sleep....

Think you may have cured it, Phil?
Now I can see all members' avatars.....except the small Trade RS ones, e.g. Doug/MRC under the larger avatar.

Avatars seem to be fixed. TradeRS will probably go away soon, so not too worried about that.

Thanks for your help Steve.

Why do our passwords now have to includes symbols as well - no other board has this requirement and it's going to guarantee I forget my RS246 password.

What does clicking on 'view new posts' supposed to do? Is it posts made that day? It gives me some posts I've read and some I've not read.

That gives you new posts since you last logged on. Quite useful, I think.

Thanks - so its a shortcut to 'viewing unread posts' and then clicking 'mark all posts as read' when you log out?
Yes, quite useful.

Did your password inlcude lower and upper case letters, numbers and symbols? If it did then I guess it got transferred.

When I tried to login I got a message that it had not been possible to transfer my pssword so I had to go through the rignarole of resetting it and entering a new one - which is when I got the message about needing symbols as well.

The thing about passwords is this - if the requirements are too proscriptive then people can't remember them so they write them down, which kinda defeats the point in having a password!

Just lower case and a number IIRC although my computer automatically fills it in for me.

My day job is IT security, so I selected the best possible password complexity. It's good practice.

Is it such a bad thing? I use http://www.lastpass.com and have seriously complex passwords, but only have to remember one no matter which machine I'm on or where I am :)
