Thief 2500

Suppose it's time for another thread regarding user titles.....
Shouldn't that be Tailor 25

Well guys, its looking good.
Here is my feedback so far

1) I agree that some of the colours need tweaking. An example is the light grey (avus silver ? :) ) used to frame the individual posts. On my laptop this is just far too light such that I can only see it if I look at the screen from an angle...

2) I'd also like the ability to shrink some of the forum sections (+/- buttons).

3) Seeing where new posts have been made is not easy.

4) Going to the first new post in a thread is preferable to me than going to either the first or last, as if a thread is particularly popular ther could be pages of posts to look through to find where you last got to (for example if you've not visited for a few days).

5) I also don't use the main menu very often, and personally can't seewhy it needs to be there all the time.
Having a 'home' or 'main menu' button makes far better use of screen space, especially when your on a 800x600 monitor...

6) You might not like this idea, but I'd also like the ability to have a 'stealth mode', for work :D
From this point of view a white background is good, but being able to turn the banners off would be handy (I doubt the advertisers would go for this though).

Right, teas ready. See you all again tomorrow ;)

Well done men.

Cheers,
John.

i had another idea...

2 stroke very first few posts... ie newbie..
3 cylinder
4 cylinder
straight 6
v6
v8
w8
w12

etc etc along those lines..... or any combination of.

still not liking the side bar to the far left at all. Shifts everything to the right...... and just dosent work IMHO

to me RS246 will always be a forum first and a website second.

I have to agree that the new style is very difficult to follow and read.

On the old version it was very easy to take things in at a glance particularly as regards new posts etc. The table style layout of the old system seemed to help in this. Will the new software support the style of the older system?
Problems I've experienced so far
- What happened to the "View all posts" facility?
- Avatars at 6K seem very restrictive.
- Polls don't seem to work.
- I have to login every time.

With all these negative comments, I feel sorry for Phil as he put so much effort in!

I personally, can live with whatever is there... But the old one was a nice easier to read :)
