it's not so much a question of yes or no, but why?
Good point mate.

Admittedly my hair looks like it was cut by the bloke in Oddbins, so maybe it's not such a good analogy...
Bit like meeting up with our beloved cars and talking about skydiving and campervans eh Jeff?

What's all this about porn? Jeezus - I DON'T WANT PORN on this site - but would like to be able to tell the odd ribald joke, weird and wonderful story, and have a good old piss-take between consenting members. I'm amazed that people can find that offensive - I'm also amazed that people get all 'sniffy' and leap on their soap box with statements like "why should we be exposed to this stuff, why oh why do we have to read this stuff ..." etc etc - for the last time: YOU DON'T HAVE TO!!! No-one forces you to read it!

There's clearly a 'market' for adult humour and banter - otherwise this poll wouldn't exist, and neither would all the threads that contain it (look at all the piss-take that goes on in the B7 RS4 forum if you want an example - and there's a case in point: how come nobody says a goddamn word about that??? Huh?)

There's loads of threads in the history of this site where piss-take and banter (and the odd 'F' word) gets chucked in - they're bloody funny, they must be otherwise members wouldn't join in would they? Ok - so they're not to jeffw's taste - fine, that's his choice not to join in or read them - no-one makes him read them do they???! (so, to paraphrase you Jeff "pleeeeeaaaassseee" don't read them!) I've seen posts that even I think are dumb, beyond the pale, rude, desultory etc - but no-one made me read them - so I DON'T COMPLAIN about them! I've had various Crew members take the piss and throw veiled insults my way - so what? It's good fun (IMHO)

Why is this so difficult - it's simple isn't it? If a bunch of members enjoy the cut and thrust of banter, piss-take, and gags then why should others stop them because they don't like it? Or am I missing something here?

And just to re-iterate: No-one wants PORN!!!

Finally: If a decision is arrived at that allows consenting members an area in which they can post the kind of stuff that adds humour to their day then it certainly should NOT be moderated/admin'd by me, or any other member - from what I've seen Andiroo is probably best placed to perform this function; he seems to have a similar sense of humour and comes across as pretty 'liberal-minded' (he's certainly joined in enough posts to take the piss out of me whenever he gets the chance! )

This is unbelieveable!
S4TAN - I didn't have the opportunity to read the post removed, but read your apology; I was in sticthes!
And have been reading further... inc. this poll

I do understand all opinion's though - jeffw especially
I don't suppose I have much say as a recent newcomer but I did, however, vote yes, as I believe everyone's opinion should be heard and feelings satisfied

Sire it doesn't matter if you are a newcomer or an old hand. You're a forum user so you should have your say, (unless you're wrong of course).

I think all the 'talk' has been done on this, both sides of the debate have been heard. It's strange that the other poll is way behind on number of total votes...

Keep the votes coming, I for one would like to see this resolved by the weekend
