After floating around hear for a while now I've not really paid too much attention to the user titles, probably more to the total number of posts made by that person which gauges their overall contibution to the site as a whole. Im not I.T literate so I dont know if its possible to do or not, but you could have a simple user title scheme which is updated say every 2-4 weeks based on certain bits of criteria for that period of time. For example;

Ghurka = logs in regulary and has made (x) amount of posts since the last update.

Lurka = logs in regulary but has made no/few posts since the last update.

Shirka = hasn't logged in or very few times and has made no posts since the last update.

Charlie Big Balls could be awarded out as the 'prized' user title each update to the person with the most posts or whatever.

So what's the current thinking, folks?

Easiest technically is probably to stick to "number of posts" as the trigger to the next level in the hall of fame.

What about:
- window shopper (for guests or for first 10 posts)
- stock member
- stage I member
- stage II member
- stage III member
- rocket member


using the word "member" everytime would make it clearer that this does not refer to the car's specs of the owner.
The reference to power levels remains clearly in the car world nevertheless.

Ok, a couple of positive reactions already, so maybe I attempt to refine my proposal to make it more "ready to go".

How about:

0 - test driving
50 - stock member
150 - stage I member
500 - stage II member
1000 - stage III member
5000 - rocket member [img]images/graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]


in stead of member: enthusiast, fan, poster, friend
