The time has come.

First there was RS246 v1.0 - Built by Matt from BM3W.
Currently we are on RS246 v2.0 - Which robbed me of a fair chunk of my life!!
Now we are moving to RS246 v3.0.

What is v3.0

Well v2.0 has been around for a while, and most of the software is our of date, and the hardware is feeling the strain from the increase in usage.

The new server, thanks to a donation from a member of the Crew, has over 10 times more processing power - 1792.40 BogoMIPS currently, and going to 23907.53 BogoMIPS.

All the software that make up the site will be upgraded to the latest and greatest releases (All of the sites will be running the same base build so that future upgrades will be easier).

There may be some disruptions, but on the whole we anticipate a couple of hours downtime of the forum. Some areas of the site will be inactive until the migration is complete.

I'll make my appologies now for the recent and iminent grumpy times

Great news Phil and the crew from a firm believer that change is the only constant in life, and that which does not grow, dies.

Would be helpful, if at all possible, that you could indicate a timeframe for this ref the site being down, so we all know what's happening and we wont be rattling your cage re lack of access.
