Edition White B7 RS4
Edition White B7 RS4
This is how it looked the day I collected it back in February, sat on the previous owner’s drive.
The first of many fuel top ups & V-Power was at a sensible (ish) price.
Enjoyed the drive home 3.5 hours, 1st on the shopping list was some decent number plates so I could bin the crappy 3D gel plates it was wearing.
Next on the shopping list was something to keep it relatively clean & to stop the cats using back window as a slide.
This will do until I can get my garage/storage built.
Although the paintwork wasn’t to bad (in my opinion), I decided to get it enhanced with the help from Jon at Dtailed (@Dtailedcambs if your on Instagram), he carried his gloss enhancement service alongside a interior valet & safe to say I’m a very happy RS owner, his attention to detail is second to none.
When I did the deal to buy this, the previous owner had put a fresh MOT on it, it did have 2 advisories, 1 of the tyres was wearing & front brake pads wearing thin.
The tyre was sorted with a fresh set of Michelin PS5 fitted all round & the front pads will be getting changed shortly for new Brembo disc’s & pads.

Never seen one in white. Interior looks lovely with the Alcantara wheel and gear knob option.

Looks great, I'm struggling a bit with the wing extensions. they look a bit odd, are they OEM?

I can’t really find out to much about them, nobody really seems to know, as it’s a jap import I can only assume there something todo with the jap market, a few of the RS4’s I’ve seen on Instagram over in Japan seem to have them.daytonamart wrote:Looks great, I'm struggling a bit with the wing extensions. they look a bit odd, are they OEM?

Re: Edition White B7 RS4
So it’s been a minute since I’ve put anything on this thread, mainly due to having to save for the additional RS tax on stuff .
So I was bored with how quiet the glorious V8 was even with the valves open, so had the resonator’s removed & replaced with a ECS tuning H pipe, now it’s not ridiculous obnoxious in ya face loud but you can definitely tell the difference both with the valves closed & open .
This was a fairly cheap mod, considering what has just arrived!!!!
So the next piece of the RS puzzle is suspension.
I’ve opted for Bilstein B16 Coilovers, topped off with new Febi Bilstein front, rear top mounts & a new set of rear bump stops (I was a divided the old ones are quite badly worn) & to finish the suspension work a Meyle-HD front arm kit.
The boys at Quattro-Tech in Cambridge are going to love me . It goes over there in a couple of weeks, once it’s all fitted & settled I’ll update with some new pictures.

Great stuff. Would love to hear what you think about noise in the cabin with flaps open but at 2k rpm or lower.
I do a lot of cruising and 6th gear driving so this is important to me.
My car is also going in this week for a full front and rear suspension refresh, inc front Meyle HD kit.

Cabin noise isn’t that bad, yes there is a increase but it’s not to the point where it will drive you mad & after a while you soon forget about it & think it’s standard.JamesBaby wrote:Great stuff. Would love to hear what you think about noise in the cabin with flaps open but at 2k rpm or lower.

Really looking forward to getting all my suspension kit fitted, will really then make it mine.
I have something else to fit as well but that’s all I’m saying on that for now!!!

Edition White B7 RS4
It’s been a while since my last post, but after having all the suspension work carried out & a little tweaking here & there after it had settled, im finally happy with how it sits.
The slab was laid in readiness for the new home for the RS.
Since buying it, I’ve been torn about the Audi rings on the boot lid, do I keep them or do they go & after a year of going back n forth I took the plunge & got Dtailed Cambs over to remove them & polish it.
I know not everybody will like it, but it’s my car & I’m so happy with it.
Now to really save some money as I’m planning a trip for Audio & some tuning.

Re: Edition White B7 RS4
Finally pulled the pin & got the Audio & Performance sorted, with thanks to Carl at Studio Incar & Alex at QSTuning.
After chatting with Carl regarding what I wanted coupled with my Pioneer CarPlay head unit (a unit I already owned), he recommended a set of Audison 165P 2 way speaker systems for the 4 doors & a Audison Prima APBX 8 AS Active sub enclosure. The car car was dropped off with him & his team on the Monday & let them do there thing.
A nice simple install & is night & day compared to the crappy Jap Kenwood head unit & non Bose speakers that was originally installed.
From Studio Incar it was then a trip over to QSTuning for a Carbon clean, flap delete & a stage 1+ map.
After the carbon clean she was it through her paces on the dyno a made a healthy 411BHP & 386NM of torque.
They then set to work there magic & extract a few more ponies & the results are a very healthy 438.7BHP & 403.5NM of torque
Really happy with the outcome & amazed at how different it sounds, more induction noise & more exhaust burble.
Only wheels left to sort & it’s complete

Re: Edition White B7 RS4
Nice upgrades there.
Interested to hear that a re-map can help with the V8 sound too. I recently added Zinram 200 cell DP's, and ECH H-Pipe but want more of the V8 burble.

Re: Edition White B7 RS4
I’m not sure if it’s just the remapping that has helped with induction noise & burbling or if it coincides with having it carbon cleaned & flap delete also creating the overall effects that I’ve described.JamesBaby wrote:Nice upgrades there.

Either way I’m a happy camper

Car looks great and good progress too. They feel like different cars after a carbon clean and map don't they. ~360bhp examples that have never had a carbon clean vs a 440bhp one, it's night and day and really brings the V8 alive.
Is your wheel colour the OEM Titanium L8AU out of interest?

Totally agree it feels night & day compared to what it was like before the work.JRC1 wrote:Car looks great and good progress too. Thanks, it’s been a expensive 18 months to get it to this point. Yea they are OEM L8AU, normally with a tinge of brake dust
