Is this a better option than a Milltek setup or H/X pipe.

In my opinion it is a better option than anything else full stop. The fact that it is cheap and simple to do is just a bonus.

Lovely noise and no drone were the selling points for me.

Briefly installed a non res Scorpion system for all of 1 day, the drone was horrendous and it made the V8 sound like a straight 6. It was a massive disappointment. Luckily it was 2nd hand so shifted it on to a guy that was running a completely straight through system who's neibours wanted to lynch him!

I went for straight pipes..... x pipe or y pipe have slightly different sounds and claim to make slight more power.

Are you going to notice the extra few BHP? I doubt it.

I took a chance and followed the advice of others that had done the same before me, they were honestly not wrong.

I still have my pre-cats installed which I believe makes the note more base heavy. With pre-cats gutted they sound a little more raspy.

Was tempted to gut my pre-cats for a little extra power but I like the exhaust note so much I am not changing anything.

Started on cleaning the leather today. Using Gliptone liquid leather cleaner and conditioner, really happy with the results so far.....
That is coming up really well, I will have a look for Gliptone products when I get back home.

Lovely looking Avant you have there.

Cheers.....

The resonator delete is a great mod. Don’t know what benefits a Milltek would give over this and for £1k+ more.

Here’s a video of how mine now sounds on a warm start:

Hi everyone

Picked up my first ever Audi last week, a B7 RS4 Avant in the fastest colour, Sprint Blue.

Previous cars include E39 M5, Golf R, MX-5s etc etc. Always loved the look of the B7 Avant and am certainly enjoying it so far.

Immediate plans are a full detail inc paint correction, wheels fully refurbished in OEM colour, leather cleaned and refreshed, EBC red pads all round, steering wheel re-trimmed, new OEM gear knob.

This is how she currently looks...
Lovely Colour that, adds at least another 10mph to it. The Mrs has got a A2 in the same colour.......
Bam Bam is a Crank...100% :nogarors4: .

A little update:

Managed to find some OEM mats which are in nice condition. Only issue is now I find myself having to hover the mats after every journey.

Also the leather on my steering wheel was a little worn and I had planned on getting it re-trimmed but again, really wanted OEM. Managed to find a really low mileage wheel with mint leather. I’ll be using that wheel base and will transfer my aluminium trim and buttons across along with a new OEM emblem.

Hi

Great work so far, are these steering emblems available separately? Was told by the dealers that I would need to get the whole bottom section if the steering for the badge. Have you got a part number please mate?

Part No: 8D0419685A

Yes, available separately. The 2 pins on the back are a different shape than for the flat bottom wheel. All you have to do is remove them then either bond or double sided tap it into place. It’s then a perfect fit.

Small tip on steering wheel badge before you glue it in place lacquer it with clear lacquer so it protects it and can’t loose its details again. Nice looking car keep up the nice work.
