B7 RS4 Avant - Sprint Blue

Post by temo_wil » Mon Feb 24, 2020 8:17 pm

Hi everyone

Picked up my first ever Audi last week, a B7 RS4 Avant in the fastest colour, Sprint Blue.

Previous cars include E39 M5, Golf R, MX-5s etc etc. Always loved the look of the B7 Avant and am certainly enjoying it so far.

Immediate plans are a full detail inc paint correction, wheels fully refurbished in OEM colour, leather cleaned and refreshed, EBC red pads all round, steering wheel re-trimmed, new OEM gear knob.

This is how she currently looks...

Lovely looking car, congrats.

Is the wheel alcantara? Is that why you're getting a re-trim?

Thanks....

The wheel is the original leather buts there’s a little bit of wear so I’ll get it re-trimmed to a OEM finish. I do like alcantara but it wears to quickly.

I like the colour. They are cracking cars.
I used Gliptone leather cleaner and conditioner on mine, was impressed with the results and gives that new leather smell.

That looks fab. Torn between this colour and mugello for my next one! They keep looking better and better.

Been giving the bodywork some attention, exterior is sorted. Next is wheels fully refurbished with new PS4S tyres all round and interior.

Well, after speaking to a few local fabricators I’ve finally got round to have the resonator delete mod completed. Really happy and for the money it’s a no brainier.

Started on cleaning the leather today. Using Gliptone liquid leather cleaner and conditioner, really happy with the results so far.....

Hi
How does the resonator delete mod make it sound? I’m thinking of doing this as my exhaust is standard at the moment but don’t want something that’s too loud or drones.

It sounds fantastic!

No drone and not too loud either. It just gives a really nice V8 sound.

Well, apart from during the cold start but if you are still running with working exhaust valves then that will help. My ones are always open but I just drive away quickly to drop the revs back down if it is early in the morning.

Mikefish on here had loads of different exhaust setups before ending back with this very setup.

Honestly, best mod ever.
