My Daytona avant number 2

Post by rocket1 » Fri Apr 05, 2019 9:45 pm

I owned a Daytona avant b7 for nearly 5 years and parted company with it the end of 2017. Put the money into a nice t5 kombi van and added another motorbike to the garage. However it wasn’t long till I realised what a silly thing I’d done and was missing the car badly. The van was nice but as a speed freak it just wasn’t cutting it lol. So that was short lived and after selling that and 2 of my bikes I had the funds for a proper car again. Was searching for a top end b7 high miler b8 and even toyed with a c63 estate. ( I had a drive out in one and had arranged to travel to collect one until a few issues were revealed with it). Seeing as good b7,S are holding good money that was what I was gonna go for again. After lots of searching I posted a wanted ad on a Facebook group and a guy got in touch. He was 330 miles away but after many chats, pictures and looking into its history I knew it was the one to have. He was having a few little jobs done to get it tip top so had to wait a few weeks before I could see it. It was a long journey with the whole family but it was worth it so here she is picked it up 4 weeks ago.

It’s a late 06 3 owner car that turned 80k on my journey home. It’s been pampered by its previous owner of the last 7 years with no expense spared ( I have over 20k in invoices and receipts with Audi , unit 20 and mrc). It’s got valved res miltek mrc stage 2 and has had the Drc replaced using standard springs, blistein b8 shocks and H&r anti roll bars. Drives and sounds fantastic. It was detailed the day before I collected it.

Only plans are to pick up some carbon inlays as it has the brushed trim and to keep it in as top condition as it has by the last owner and to never sell up. Oh and to drive it like it’s intended as it’s purely a weekend toy. Sorry for the long post. Lol

Oh my days, that is stunning.

Rare to find another in better condition than the one you sold.

Well done.

Lovely. And I love owners who treat their cars right like that. You're arranging to buy it and they care enough to spend the $ detailing it and fixing bits before you pick it up.
