I think it looks proper Skin Head mean without the roof rails, intimidating.
I can't wait to get mine back on the road, next Tuesday.
I know what you mean and I think it can look good but on my car it just looked like there was something missing, each to their own I suppose.

Cheers

Hi folks,

After one of my orange drls blew, I set about trying to find white ones and whiter sidelights while I was at it as I wasn’t happy with the Philips white vision jobbies. So I settled on MTEC bulbs, the sidelights are MTEC 223 and the drls are MTEC 227. I’m happy with them and I think they are the closest white without going leds which are more hassle than they’re worth. I also put a silica gel sachet in each headlight to keep them dry, the last photo is the sidelights which match the xenons but it was too dark to get a decent photo so I’ll get a better shot of the drls in better light and update a photo tomorrow.

Looks good, will look better in a lower light. It’s hard to take good photos of lights, nothing beats the eye.

I went for a blast today and swung in by one of our grain stores for a few photos, needs a wash but I just haven’t really had time with Christmas and a Scottish Hogmanay :drink:

And a few filtered shots.

I’m planning on getting an Obdeleven to do a bit of coding and just be handy to have. Next on the to do list will probably be getting my window trim wrapped and getting rid of the rear wiper.

Awesome mate. Looks mean. Will complete it when you do the window trim. Good to see you’re getting out and using it.

Thanks, yes I’m happy with the rails and fairly inexpensive, glad I replaced them and didn’t wrap them. My man maths would tell me that getting one done was an excuse to get them all done a different colour

Thanks, I’ll look at booking it shortly. Got to use them, that’s surely why they are on the drive :kissmyrings:

Looking sublime Frazer!

The rear wiper delete will clean up the rear end a treat too.

A nice set of BBS E28's will look amazing

Thanks, I’ve since washed it and through winter, you forget how good they look after being dirty for a while. I’m currently pricing up the window trim wrap but also watching my spending as I can’t seem to stop saying yes to weekends away for rugby, touring cars and heavy sessions :drink:

Those wheels would look great on certain cars but I’m not a huge fan, and I couldn’t be arsed cleaning them either. I wouldn’t mind a set of rotors but I also really like the original wheels, maybe in time.

Hi folks,

After my success with the MTEC drls I decided to buy another set for my reversing lights. I would also like to recommend carparthut.co.uk as they were the only place to have them in stock at a decent price and after one of them cracking and letting the gas out, they sent another set out very fast with no questions asked.

After my latest wash I have come across some bubbles on my boot, one of my quarters and in one of the channels where the roof rack mounts so I have emailed Audi uk to get the ball rolling and hoping they will do something about it before my 12 years are up.

I have also booked the BTCC at Croft in June and after seeing a thread on M3Cutters about a local plotting a route around the Yorkshire dales and up to the A69 I’m going to do that on the Saturday with a mate that I’m going with. I’ll post a thread nearer the time to see if any locals are interested.

Cheers

There’s a bubble just on the edge under the window and there’s on on the edge where the boot and number plate lights meet. I can post photos if it helps.
