Loving the black window trims, makes it look so much better.
Why did you leave the rear rings on though? If you a going wiperless then then removal of the rear rings will give you a nice smooth ass.

and doesn't the removal of the door badges leave a rectangular indentation behind or is it all smooth?
Yea I agree with you there, I’m actually booking them in to get redone as the first time round was a homer and I’m not happy with them, serves me right for trying to save money :bash:

I just left them on as they are already black and wanted to see how it looked once the wiper is deleted, I’ll then decide wether to leave them or remove them.

Yea it does but I’m not too worried about that, it’s too much hard work finding black badges and couldn’t put up with the chrome ones.

Cheers

Hi folks,

My windscreen washers have annoyed me since buying my car and when I used them, the far one on the left watered the verge or sprayed the pavement. Rather than adjust them I decided to look into replacements an it was either tri jets or fan jets and I went with fan jets.

The part numbers for the jets are 5M0955986C and the shims are 8E0955431. These are needed to fill the gap as the washers are slightly narrower. Very easy to adjust with a wee screw, I have set them in place but may need adjusting after testing at speed.

Can't tell from the photo, but it looks like the triple jets?

Not the tripples. Looks like later C7 A6 ones which are a cross between mist and spray pattern.

They are Volkswagen fan jets, still playing about with them but I’m happy with the results.

Hi folks,

I had arranged with Fatneck73 to do a bit of coding when we were at Goodwood but due to the weather it didn’t happen. Today he very kindly came to mine and done the coding I wanted, nothing major but just wee improvements. It was great to meet a fellow Rs owner and a decent guy.

I had my windscreen replaced yesterday and I’m also in the middle of deleting my rear wiper. I’ll post photos once I have finished.

Hi folks,

Picked my car up this evening after having a 20k mile service with gearbox and diff oil change. I have got a few issues that have been raised so I need to sort them out, nothing too pressing so will be doing them in time but apart from that I’m happy that everything is fresh, possibly ready for a stage 2 map if funds allow, we’ll see.

Cheers

Hi folks,

My rear wiper delete turned up through the week from kill all wipers so I fitted it over a couple of evenings after work and washed it this morning. Very happy with the results. I will leave the rings on for now to see if I like them without the rear wiper but I might end up removing them.

A plug in the aRSe = good.
Gravel in the aRSe = not so good.
