Silver (it's mentioned in my sig, but you won't see that if viewing from cr@pat@lk).
Oh yeah!

Makes sense, look forward to the updates!

Bit quicker than a standard V8
Obviously will never be faster through the gears than a DSG (especially with me at the helm) but I'd hope it's capable of reaching the 3.x range for 0-60 now, and maybe 190+ mph top speed (if the gearing allows it - won't be testing that anytime soon, though!).

For me, it's a good platform to build upon (if I choose to do so) but is already a very nice place to be, and lets me enjoy (fully-engaged) driving for the sake of driving.

Picks up quite well when you ask it to:

No plans to make it a drag racer or track car, though - don't want to compromise it as a good all-round fast road car.
Will no doubt explore a few other options, in time, and subsequently pick up a few dyno plots (and other pub fodder) along the way, but it's not running entirely 100% at the moment, so that needs to be rectified (and stabilised) first.

Can't imagine he'd be that interested!
Nothing really to promote here anyhow - it's just an unashamedly self-indulgent toy that I've been fortunate enough to have become custodian of.

Not sure I've heard of Ricky Elder before.
Isn't Ricky the guy that did Classba / Trups 900ps C6?

Hell of a toy Nick! Well done! Can’t wait to see what you do with it

I’ve seen Ricky’s name mentioned on the R8 talk forum quite a bit as the “go to” R8 specialist in South England

Thanks Faisal!
Absolutely! If/when you do go to see him, it may be wise to leave your credit card at home as plenty to tempt you with! Image

I remember him at the last ADI I went to, he'd got the R8 with the shopping list down the side.
Didn't he do a video with the white R8tt (nudgents???)?

Yeah, that's right. That screenshot came from that video.
This one too, with a certain Misano in the background (there goes bam's monitor!)
