What are you replacing it with? I’m toying with a replacement for my next thing to do.

Cheers

Keeping the RNS-E itself (it's one of the newer generation ones, only fitted about a year ago)... for the time-being at least...

The reason I'd striped it down was to remove the iPod adapter and reinstate the CD changer.

Whilst it was out, I installed a Bluetooth music streaming adapter which, unlike the iPod unit, works in conjunction with the CD player.

I also took the opportunity to install my shiny new knob! Image
(The old one did put up quite a fight though!)

...during a quick test drive (to check everything still worked OK... as you do) I think I confused a Carrera 4S driver a bit ImageImageImageImage

Thanks Jay. Yeah, running OK, cheers, but there's always room for improvement...

Had the engine bay apart whilst diagnosing/rectifying a few issues.

Took the opportunity to tidy it up, cosmetically, including repairing where the metal gauze/mesh was starting to come away from one of the side trims, and refurbishing that gauze on both sides at the same time (colour-coding it to match the rest of the engine bay - going from the standard silver to black). Even colour-coded the fixing screws Image

Obviously, the BOVs and charge cooler aren't OEM either, but the bits above are what I meant by the most recent minor cosmetic changes.

Looks great, I didn’t think there were any cosmetic changes so just shows it looks oem and as good as it should of done.

Cheers

TBD... Expecting first bottleneck to be fueling, if original pumps are retained
