Looking good. Did you decide on the plate?

Not really, to be honest its the last thing on my list of todo's - if I even end up doing it.

Arh, thought you’d found one for it. Agreed, least of the priorities. Noise and powwweer!

Looks like you need to re-adjust the bumper height as the gap with the top of the front grille looks pretty big in the pics.

Some insight on how to do that would be marvellous, I feel like its a miracle I managed to get it back on in one piece.

Having had a couple of exhausts on and off my B7, I found a simple way of getting the valves working again.

If you look at the exhaust, where the flaps are, there is a bar/pin that the flaps rotate around. I found that the seating/housing around this pin corrodes and stop the flaps rotating freely. At first, I tried penetrating fluid etc but that didn't really do the trick, next I took a hammer and tapped the pin housing until the housing expanded slightly (may need a good tap). I did this on both sides and bingo - they started working properly. I managed to use this method on four different systems (experimenting with central resonator delete) with great success.

If I were you I'd try the central res delete with straight through pipes before getting the JC system, it's what I settled on and I loved it. No drone or extra noise with the valves closed, but awesome when open.

I’d just get the OE wheels painted and put some spacers on. Will save a few £££ and look great(unless those aftermarket wheels are cheap).

Booked in at JC WeldFab on the 4th June :D After that I'll be rebooking with CM tuning for a carbon clean and a stage 2 remap. Had a stinking tax bill to pay so had to wait a bit before I could do anything else.

I've also spoken to Project Customs in Leeds about getting my wheels refurbed and powder coated in anthracite - £360. They can also strip, refurb, and powder coat my calipers in yellow for £600 although I'm not sure if that's a bit steep.. ?

Ask Chis to get the calipers refurbed. Will be half that price.

Dropped the car off at Weldfab yesterday. Hopefully should be going back down tomorrow to pick it up, if its not done tomorrow I'm stuffed as we're in hospital Thursday to have our third girl :D (I like to cut things fine).

Words cannot describe how excited I am to hear that thunderous roar. All being well I'll be dropping her off with Chris on Monday for carbon clean, stage 2 remap, wheel refurb and powder coat, caliper refurb and powder coat.

Picking up from Chris tomorrow. Can't wait to get the car back. Full list of changes over the last 3 or so weeks are:
  • Full stage 2 manifold
  • Stage 2 MRC remap
  • Break calipers refurbed, powder coated in pastel orange with some new decals
  • Wheels refurbed + powder coated in satin anthracite
  • New fuel filter
  • Health check
  • Carbon clean. Chris said it was quite bad in my engine so should notice a considerable difference
  • JC WeldFab full exhaust with matte black tips
Once I have it back I'll get it cleaned up and take some nice pictures/videos :)
