@Faisal what rule is that?

The badges weren't cheap, £90 for the pair but that includes the cost of tooling. I can certainly ask if they can make some more, anybody who is interested can you DM me?

@marc1 I have some pictures of the strip down, will get them uploaded tomorrow when back at the desktop. Painting hasn't begun yet. They've discovered more than a few bodge jobs from the previous painter, which is hardly surprising tbh :bash: . At least I know its in good hands this time around.

Indeed mate. Should be awesome when done. If you get pictures uploaded you’ll satisfy rule 1. Info here: FON

Ok picture time. Here's a list of bodges found from the previous painter (so far):

Bumper mouldings not taken off
Door seals ripped and glued back on
Two bolts on the door lock missing and the one that is has been rounded off (!!)
Back of the doors not prepped at all so paint flaking off
None of the boot trim taken off
Windows weren't taken out (I already knew this was the case though)
Window trims not removed when spraying
Window trims weren't prepped or lacquered so was already flaking off
Roof rails weren't removed so was flaking off around rubber seals and edges

I think an ‘I told you so’ might crop up. Live and learn though, at least you should be in safe hands now.

I suppose the take away from this is that I might have gained one or two milliseconds against the clock with all the bolts and bits they neglected to put back in :biggrin3:

Refreshing to see you’re open about the bodges - some people might try to hide that.

Sounds like the new bodyshop is much better - so hopefully will look great when done!

@Faisal I can understand why people would want to hide it, but imo the point of a project thread is to document everything bad and good.

For anybody interested in the side badges I've made a thread: viewtopic.php?f=41&t=131146

Not much of an update but ordered some white LED bulbs for the number plate which arrived today.

Unfortunately they forgot to paint the roof black so will have to be repainted, but no harm done really.

Looking good buddy. Personally I’d stick with the Nardo roof.

I like a black roof but think I'd have gone with a gloss black rather than a panther black one.

Oh and the 2 different colour air intake hoses would annoy me. I'd change the one after the maf housing to red to match the other one.

@MikeFish I initially did want a gloss black roof, but they advised me that gloss black shows swirls much more than something with a bit of metallic in it, so we went with panther.

Oh and I've already ordered a replacement hose from Forge, should be here in the next week or so. It has really, really irritated me ever since they sent the wrong one - I just never got around to it until now.

Thanks for the comments all.
