Cancel that its been pushed back again to Thursday...

One of the calipers wasn't right so had to be sent back to be done again. This is after one of the wheels has already been sent back for contamination. If Chris ever reads this perhaps he should consider outsourcing to somebody else for powder coating... On the other hands its reassuring that he genuinely wants everything to be perfect and won't accept anything less.

The ones that are ok look nice though.

Ah come on, it wasn't really that obvious, we were getting mixed signals up until the calipers.

So after a complete debacle, the wheels finally got back to Chris..... IN THE WRONG COLOUR! So not only did they contaminate them the first time round, they sent the back the wrong colour the second time round AND did a hash job of one of the calipers so that had to be done again. My paternity leave ends tomorrow so I've told Chris I'll just have to take the wheels as they are and we'll have to come to some sort of arrangement.

I mean, they look nice and everything, but after waiting almost a week longer than I should have and they're STILL not right - my patience is wearing a bit thin.

I'll probably just sell these, should get a decent price now that they're in mint condition.

No the satin I did want, they were supposed to be anthracite though to match the mirrors. These are almost the same colour as they started off.

Sorry been really busy for a while with new baby and life in general. Haven't had time to do much or even check in here. I have, however, just got back from a dyno run. To be honest, while its certainly not a bad result, I had expected a little bit more. Let me know what you think.

Picking up from Chris tomorrow. Can't wait to get the car back. Full list of changes over the last 3 or so weeks are:
  • Full stage 2 manifold
  • Stage 2 MRC remap
  • Break calipers refurbed, powder coated in pastel orange with some new decals
  • Wheels refurbed + powder coated in satin anthracite
  • New fuel filter
  • Health check
  • Carbon clean. Chris said it was quite bad in my engine so should notice a considerable difference
  • JC WeldFab full exhaust with matte black tips
Once I have it back I'll get it cleaned up and take some nice pictures/videos :)
I thought you were getting MRC to tune it?
Who are these RSTuning guys?

Yes it was (indirectly) tuned by MRC, through CM tuning in Leeds. Its an MRC remap but Chris resells them, basically.

RS Tuning I just went for the dyno, nothing else.

So it's an MRC 'generic' map not a live map by MRC?
