We have lift-off! Painting has commenced. I have to say I actually really like the way the colour is turning out. It might not be to everybody's taste, but I think it looks great.

A touch of orange peel at the moment, but its still very much in being sprayed phase, yet to be machined.

If it’s being painted in a proper spray booth and well prepared then it shouldn’t react at all.

It was repainted in a Lambo orange colour, as the owner didn't like the Papaya shade. Forum member RIV would know more, as it's a friend of his from memory.

Fair play indeed, takes a lot of balls to go for a full colour change on any car, never mind an RS4. Finished article looks decent, very quick turnaround too.

I know I said last pics but he's just sent me some more. Last things to do tomorrow are clean and final polish then it'll be done. Some of you might've noticed the badges in the bumper strips at the side are missing: unfortunately they got misplaced so if he can't find them tomorrow he is going to get me some more.

Finally picked it up. Sods law though the minute I drive off it started chucking it down with rain so didn't get chance to take any pictures. The worst part of this is that it got dirty on the journey home :'(

Here's a few pics from just before I picked it up in its polished form.

Once the weather picks up a bit I'll get her rewashed and take some pics in some nice scenery.
