Welcome to the RS4 club and nice start to a ownership thread
Ah really. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by that because only proper enthusiasts fit ceramics to their RS4s.

Thanks for your kind words. Very welcoming forum. Very different from the kids over at Edition 38!

The ceramics are on my car now, you have my old brakes! Ap racing front discs and ds2500 pads FYI
Your car looked tidy when I saw it for the brake swap over. Good buy mate
Ah nice I'm glad they went to a forum member.

Yep I noticed they are AP discs but wasn't sure on the pads. I'm really glad you had those pads. Nice one thank you.

you dont need to remove theplugs to deflap the manifold, you can use that small ratchet you had to get to the rear of the mani ,

also when you said about not wanting to take it off again it wil be caked up in less than a year, not as bad as when you started but bad, mines done every year and look spretty bad and i dont really drive mine
Does it all not depend on fuel quality and how the car is driven?
not really, it still gets clogged up, only way to get rid really is to fit water meth

Hmm, we usually do one a couple of times a year in Boxhill, might be a bit far for you though.

Great work !
It's very Nice to do those jobs by your own. Lot of money spared.

Can you come to Norway and help me carbon clean my car?

Thanks Stigaream, yeah it's very satisfying which also allows me to spend the money on other bits for the car.

Next investigation and parts sourcing is for the drivers seat which is worn beyond repair.
Drivers bottom half is around £550inc vat. Not yet tried prices from TPS etc. Not too bad considering.

Does anyone have a DIY guide on these seats? ImageImage

you will save quite a bit if you go to TPS.

if you just pay over the counter it can be slightly cheaper, if you know someone who has a trade account they can get a % off. iv managed to get parts through a friend for up to 19% off

Wow thanks RS4LAD I didn't realise the prices had the potential to be significantly different. I will do some digging and see if I can find someone with a trade account.

Sunday and it's dry... What better way to make the most of it than to take a drive in the RS and have some good coffee. ImageImageImage

Cheers mate.

Always more to do on it.. A full paintwort correction and detail will be on the cards in the spring that's for sure.
