Doug at MRC has, no issues I have heard of on the trackJCviggen wrote:Has anyone with a SC ever done a trackday? I'm curious if it causes oil temps to spiral out of control or not...
Thanks, would be nice to see some real life data.
im interested in this also im worried for oil temps. im in a slightly better position as the car doesn't need to be functional on the road for day to day use. so im open to any mad <beep> to keep the oil temps down allowing us to supercharge the car
Pick up the phone and speak to Doug at mrc. He did all the development work on the TTS kit, including track time at nurburgring NordschleifeJCviggen wrote:Thanks, would be nice to see some real life data.
On the Nurburgring, not the worst circuit for oil temps in the world, My N/A car was already seeing 127-128C oil with ambient temps below 10C. I'm struggling to imagine how a charged B7 in more summer-ish weather wouldn't be 135-140 or worse...
Exactly, the oil radiator isn't the limiting factor
People have tried upgrading it, vastly increasing the theoretical cooling performance only to notice no difference in actual oil temps when you're constantly living at high revs.
