Has anyone with a SC ever done a trackday? I'm curious if it causes oil temps to spiral out of control or not...

Thanks, would be nice to see some real life data.

On the Nurburgring, not the worst circuit for oil temps in the world, My N/A car was already seeing 127-128C oil with ambient temps below 10C. I'm struggling to imagine how a charged B7 in more summer-ish weather wouldn't be 135-140 or worse...

im interested in this also im worried for oil temps. im in a slightly better position as the car doesn't need to be functional on the road for day to day use. so im open to any mad <beep> to keep the oil temps down allowing us to supercharge the car

Pick up the phone and speak to Doug at mrc. He did all the development work on the TTS kit, including track time at nurburgring Nordschleife Image

Exactly, the oil radiator isn't the limiting factor

Lower temp thermostat if there about, or change the water oil cooler for a bigger one.

The std cooler has no turbulators in the fins

People have tried upgrading it, vastly increasing the theoretical cooling performance only to notice no difference in actual oil temps when you're constantly living at high revs.

The main reason for upgrading your oil cooler is the factory end fittings. The forge oil cooler upgrade is an over priced joke imo.

I made my own hoses and had my rad repaired with new fittings, cost 50qwid. They dont look oem but i can live with that, also the hoses are not "special" lines now. 1/2" bsp ends so can have them made up at any hose company
