Got to agree with Ed, I don't think them being black works. You also seem to lose the concavity when they are black?

I like it, I think the gloss wheels look good. It reminds me a bit of my old Factory JCW Mini which was Black/Black/Black...

You know my thoughts on lowering etc, but the only comment so far that I fully agree with is the concave of the Audi 20's does get lost a bit when painted.

All in all though, it's your car to do with what you want. It's good to be different (but not that different!), it's certainly not on the scale of some of the modded abominations seen on here over the years, and the 20's are a great wheel from a technical/performance point of view.

I bet it looks meaner in the metal tbh.

On the other point Mike, width over height. :thumb:

Ha yes I agree to some degree with all of what you are saying. They are actually Matt black and yes it looks much meaner and moodier now with black wheels. Once the black and carbon trim is on it will match better too. I agree they don't look as concave in the photos but when you see them in the flesh they still have that lovely deep concavity. And yes Matt black wheels with pearl / metallic black paint is unusual but I like it.

Really? Well it shows how much a bit of light can change the perception. I could have sworn they were gloss/satin.

Get them done gloss and it'll look a whole heap better! ;)

I thought about satin but the sample satin wheels they had looked too shiney for me so I went with the matt option.

Not seen a nardo one before, but seen a lot of other colours recently. A lot of black and daytona. And a couple of white ones. There is always a white one parked in the Tescos near the car wash for some reason. Does car washing pay that much?

Been another long while since I updated this thread.
What have I done since last time?
I finished adding the rest of the carbon / black exterior parts. This included the front side flaps in carbon, the rear diffuser in carbon and the grille in black.
Then I had it back at the detailers for a top up ceramic coating and had my doors and roof wrapped in PPF too.
Had a photoshoot along the way as well.
Some new wheels.
Got some KW height adjustable springs coming so I can sort out the ride height as it is still not sitting level. I almost bought the 20mm springs for the front to level it but thought I'd be better off with a proper adjusatble set and get it just right. Will hopefully be able to space the front out a bit more.
Also have an Eventuri intake being made. Eventuri said they were making a batch of RS6 intakes last week so with any luck I could have it in time for AITP.
It looks like I have sourced a carbon front splitter too but it looks like I'm running out of time to have it delivered and fitted by next sunday.
Anyway here are some photos (not necessarily in chronological order), apologies if I have posted some of them already.

Those 20's are the best wheels Audi has ever made, they look great on your ride too.

Yes they look good on so many cars. Seen them on B8s, B7s, B5 and a C5 I think. All looked great.
