I'll report back on how mine is when I get it back but to be honest it has always had a bit of smoke on start up since I removed the pre cats so I expect it will still smoke a bit but it did get worse over the years so suspected it was more than just the lack of pre cats.

Yes it is. And I an a skeptic. But I think if i try and sell without it I will lose some buyers. If nothing else it proves the car is healthy. Bit if i was keeping then there's no way I'd have had it done. But who knows, maybe when I drive it I will be a convert!

quick question Mike - now the oil breather/separator has been replaced, has this got rid of the smoky startups?

cheers
The bad smoking I had before has gone now. When I started it cold there was no smoke. When revving it a bit a bit of smoke would come out just like it used to when I got rid of the pre-cats so it's gone back to how it was before.

Cheers for that Mike. I'll keep an eye on mine and perhaps change the separator sometime.

I think the car feels smoother a low speeds in traffic since its had the carbon clean but can't say I notice the big power difference that I should be. Doug said he was amazed it made the numbers it did beforehand as it was proper dirty! I've just remembered he said to remind him to email me the photos so I don't have any yet.Image

You've got to be able to feel an extra 46 ponies surely! That's more than all the power my first car had!!

Maybe you haven't had it past 5.5k revs?

Yep I did rev it. In fact I used up so much petrol I had to limp most of the way home with the low petrol light on to try ans find a petrol station. Maybe I didn't get enough time with it warm as I had to wait ages for it to warm up and the not long after than I must have run out of petrol
