Whilst the last of the major bodywork mods is done, been working on finishing off some of the other mods which have been a work in progress. Last week the front parking sensors were fitted to the bumper and hooked up to the wiring which had been laid previously. The reversing camera has also been enabled with the addition of the new parking module. Some pics of installing the front parking sensors...

Had to position them as they would have been positioned on the Rieger PDC bumper. Luckily I kept the front PDC mounts from the RS5 grille as had been tempted to sell them on.

Wiring up the back of the Rieger bumper...

Still getting used to the front beeps and also the display and camera - a bit freaky to start with.

Also installed a capacitor in the boot to help with smooth power delivery for the audio DSP and amps.

Wow. Just wow. Epic makeover & mod Cuppa. Popped over from B7 RS4 forum to read your build thread and I'm so glad I did. Cracking job.

Cheers - yep, I'm relieved as I was a little apprehensive about it in case I didn't like it or it just killed the blue/purple in the Meteor Grey, but all is good.

Cuppa, did you notice the capacitor making any difference?

The general concensus on the Talk Audio forum is that they are a waste of time and don't do anything. Even the big bass head cars no longer use them.
And with the size of your battery / alternator / sub I'd have thought there was plnety of juice there already.
