Ok update time.

Ceramics are fitted, Hel braided hoses, brake fluid changed.

RNSE 2 with Audi Music Interface are installed.

Reverse camera is in.

Sound deadening applied to doors, boot, floor, roof (see stereo build thread)

Rear arch repainted as lacquer was peeling in a small spot.

New drivers side door blade as it was corroded and sticking out.

Both front wings have been replaced, inner arches, skirts and door trims. All sprayed. Work carried out by Audi.

Whilst it was in the body Shop and they had to remove the door trims a had them fit black optics front door trims and then purchased the full set for me to install later on.

That looks odd with only the black trim on the front, lol. Coming along nicely though.

Did Trups do both your DRL's and your fogs? Any issues with them so far? How much did he charge?

Haha it does look odd but I don’t have time take all the doors apart, the rear quarters out and the roof trim off to fit the new bits. I’ll have it ready for Audi in the Park.

He supplied the DRLS I fitted them, no issues, had them in my old car. £80 odd I think. The fogs are just whiter bulbs.

You could pick up a bit of matt black vinyl wrap for a few quid and do a quick job to cover the rest of the trims until you get it done properly. Doesn't take long for a novice to get a decent (but not perfect) finish. Took me maybe an hour to 1.5 hours per side. Might not be perfect when looking for faults with it but will look perfect from 2 feet away.

Ok mate thanks, I’ll see how I get on, I may get the weekend out the way and crack on with it. I don’t want the parts laying around for too long or I’ll bend them! I have the grill surround now so I’ll do that shortly and then the exhaust which I also have. If it feels like I’m not going to get round to it for a bit I’ll wrap it.

With black optics and lowered that'll look spot on!! I'm surprised at the lack of photos of the ceramics though!

My last one was black optics and it does look amazing. I did titanium mirrors and wheels last time so I might do that again. We’ll see.

Haha I was looking through my phone today because I distinctly remember taking photos of the discs and callipers installed with the hoses but do you think I can find them? I’ll take some tomorrow and get them up sir.

Also had a busy couple of days. I have completed the black optics conversion on both sides now. Still got the grill to do and the exhaust and boot strip. I’m gonna try and do the grill and exhaust this weekend.
