Thinking of getting a set of these for mine, how troublesome were they?

Fit, faults, anything of that nature? :p

Dectanes site says it may cause electronics issues with the RS model, just wondering if I should prepare for anything like that.

Not read that on their site, although not looked in detail. Cause me the initial fog light error message on start up in the dark due to auto lights. It irritates me, but is liveable with a quick flick to off and back to auto. Interestingly Neil doesn't have this issue with his saloon LED's (Dectane). I had the same ones on my saloon and had the above mentioned error message too. Re fit... Hmmm, I'm not a fan of how the boot lid lights fit, but I'm following that up with them. To be honest, how the OEM lights are secured is odd, but there is a lip on the outer edge to help sandwich it in. That lip is not present on the Dectane's. Something for a different thread though.

Got a picture of the whole car with them fitted? At least they cleared the calipers, that could have been another headache.
True, although I was pretty confident they would clear the calipers.

Not the best pic, only one I have of the whole car since putting them on...I think the dark colour means you lose the edge of the rim a bit, and since the spokes don't go all the way to the edge of the wheel, they look small!

For comparison, here they are in silver on a B8 A4:

Donovan - You're probably best off starting a new thread RE dectanes. Lots of the guys on here have them (with mixed opinions) and will be able to answer your questions, but probably won't see them buried in my build thread!

I quite like them in this colour tbh.
B7 RS4 saloon Misano red, comfy seats, JHM tune & JHM full exhaust with cats and resonators - gone.
C5 RS6 Avant Daytona/Cognac - gone.
981 Cayman GTS Gray/Orange.

Yeah, didn't mean to start a full blown discussion in your thread, haha. Also love what you did with the headlights. My list of "must-do-mods" is quickly growing.

I absolutely love Speedlines, they were the wheel of choice on my R32, hand polished lips and gunmetal centres. But I really don't think they suit an RS4, the arches need some emphasis and concaved wheels really bring them out.

So, some 20" speedlines popped up in the classifieds. I tried not to. But the force was strong...

I think the side repeaters and wing mirrors stand out a bit now, might have to do something about that.

I may also have to do something about my wheel addiction!

Planning to get the car into MRC soon to diagnose the cause of some power loss due to retarded timing, might get manifold deflapped at the same time.

The 19" speedlines are up for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested.

Cheers fellas!

Question though...I'm swapping 2 of the tyres that are down to 2mm for some fresh continentals. The other 2 still have about 4mm on them. Better to put the new pair on the front or rear?
