Young teenagers? Probably just after something simple to nick and sell, or something to nick and use (like mountain bikes). You got somewhere to move the RS4 to in the meantime, just just in case?

On a serious note aren't there bollards, or something similar, that can be fitted to the end of your drive which can be folded down and locked into place?

Sorry to hear this, not a very nice thought. I’ve got a small breaker bar beside my bed in case of emergencies and both my dogs wouldn’t take too kindly to a stranger.

I've agonised over this for months - but I've finally decided that I'll be selling the RS4. I'll probably put the advert up towards the end of the month, and I'll be trying to sell through the forum in the first instance.

It's such an epic car - but it just doesn't get used any more - a couple of times a month at best, even then only if I'm making an effort to put it to some use.

I get my driving kicks from the R8 now. For family duties - we actually do most trips in the Golf. My wife doesn't like driving the RS4 as she's used to an auto now, and doesn't like the exhaust. The plan will be to sell both the RS4 and the Golf, and replace with an auto family car - perhaps a B8.5 S4 or S5.

It’s now been 10 years since I bought this car, 7 years since I “decided to sell” and 6 years since an update!

I still have the car, and it’s still epic. That is all.
