I'm considering a new race car project and had this idea of building the car Audi would have built for the DTM if the DTM hadn't been scrapped in 1996.

Spec would roughly be:-

Audi A4(B5) steel bodyshell with multipoint weld-in cage
Front splitter/nose/grille
Wider front arches
Wider rear wheel arches
Rear diffuser
Rear Wing
19" OZ racing alloys
AP / Brembo Brakes
Racing Slicks
600 BHP RS6 engine (600 lbs/Ft Torque?)
Undecided on suspension layout, Gearbox, 2wd/4wd Drivetrain etc

Has RS6 into A4 been done before?
What about the drivetrain? Is it strong enough? will it cope?
Am I mad?
