I am tempted to go along the lines of the MTM chip and Milltek exhaust for my RS6.. but I have heard rumours of problems....
has anyone heard anything??.. I am keen to go ahead but not until everything is AOK...
cheers
Dave
PS.. this question goes out to all different types of chip.. what's happening in the market.

i heard the milltek exhaust with MTM remap actually gave less toque than std
that was only cats back as downpipes as well means engine out!!!!!!

How can that happen??.. poor remap? exhaust probs? or a combination of both?

bit of both i heard
i mean all milltek do is make the exhaust give more gas flow so takin gheat and gas away quicker, this means more gas can flow into the engine at the same rpm as b4, i thnk
this only really generates marginally more noise
however you need to remap correctly to get the improved mixture to utilise the increased gas flow
so who knows what the exact problem is?
maybe audi ar etrying to stop people fecking with their systems and have pressure sensors in the exhaust?

I would look at the Audi GmbH options also. The RS6's at Hockenheim sounded awesome, and perfomed quite well.
I think it is still early days for RS6 tuning, I think I would wait until things settle down a bit....

Hear the same things Dave, and I recall an Audi Driver article which points to there being problems as well, something relating to a Kim Collins car.
500bhp and 615nM are the rolling road figures for Sportec, with their 550bhp version surely topping the 675nM mark. No sign of problems with these guys - I think a magazine article was on RS6.com recently.
AmD should have the Sportec engineering deal tied up fairly soon so their should be a UK source of serious RS6 tuning (with a rolling road ECU mapping) in the very near future.
The GmbH option is just the Sports Exhaust I believe, sounds awesome and maybe a few bhp to be had. Unfortunately not to the scale of the Sportec and MTM( ) mods.

So Amd are going to become the Sportec dealers for the Uk.. sounds good.. how are they?.. do they have a history like MTM?
I am keen to get some work done, but just want it to be done properly with benificial gains.
Thanks for all your help guys

In my opinion they are both excellant, AmD and Sportec. In terms of these modifications to any RS in the UK the only thing AmD have been missing is the brand name.
I think the beneficial gains can be quantified as well with AmD/Sportec both basing their mods on rolling road fine tuning.
