Wheel Spacers

Post by stumpyrs4 » Sat Jul 18, 2009 8:46 pm

Is there any science behind the effects of adding spacers?
10mm or 15mm? Or is it how the wheel then sits in the arch? Or outside of too much I guess...

And finally is there any negative effect adding spacers to the rear and not the front as well?

Thanks

I have used h&r spacer for a couple of years now, on both my 8p s3 and now my b5 s4, and have had no problems with them, i run a larger spacer on the rear to the front, i would recommend asking someone who fits wheels often for the sizing to use, as this will obviously vary dependent on offset of wheels, tyre and wheel sizing etc.

I am sure there are people on here that could help, but if your thread is not replied to quickly enough, i would suggest giving Darren at G-werks (google search) a call, they are predominantly vw specialists but darrens knowledge on 'stance' is highly regarded in the vag scene.

I'd be interested in those spaces if you still have them. I assume it's a pair of them? How much?
