Options for an upgrade to the back box (B5 S4)

Post by arS4 » Fri Feb 15, 2008 11:11 pm

OK. Plan B as I didn't win the auction for the B7 RS4 backbox that I was going to adapt to fit. What other back-boxes are worth looking at?

Don't want to spend too much (like most people!! :D)

I personally really like the Miltek on mine, and I was just about to recommend one...until I seen the price! Glad it was already on the car, would not pay that much for a back box.

For approx £220 I had a custom built one done at Longlife on my Civic a few years ago. Mine was relatively tame, single exit, inwardly rolled, about 2" square with rounded edges.
Really top class quality and not too lairy, though mine was the "mid-sport" sound IIRC. They do them with less or more noise depending on requirements.
I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Still, much appreciated, helped Doug extract a few more ponies on the remap :)

Primarily sound, then looks.

I lost my bid on Ebay for a B7 RS4 backbox by £1!!! :( Yes, I know that it would have needed modding to fit, but that was my challenge! :D
And it was a Milltek :(

The aim is to again supply some additional prospects for the remap (hopefully!) :D
