Am I the only one?

Who am I to disrespect MRC with all the good press and excellent remap Doug did on my S4 when I managed to contact him. However...

Am I the only one who thinks MRC's success has overwhelmed them to the extent that the core values of responding to customers have gone down the drain?

Am I the only one who has sent countless e-mails in response to the notice of construction work underway - none replied to date?

Am I the only one who has made numerous calls - none answered?

Am I the only one who has been forced to to find another specialist because MRC were unavailabe - for me www.middlesextuningcentre.co.uk

P/S: Doug you are the best but only if you are reachable. Do something.
NOW :(

They are difficult to get hold of, there's no doubt about that. BUT Doug did reply to my emails eventually and from my own personal experience, its worth perservering as the guy knows what he is doing. I've had mails from him far into the night, so I think he puts as much time and effort into his business as is possible, its not like he walks out at 5pm each day and forgets about it till 9am the next morning.

Just for comparison, I sent a tuner more local to me and hence easier to use, VAGTECH in Leighton Buzzard an email the same time as Doug, and it took them two weeks to respond - Doug was much quicker than that :D

Just my 0.02p

Me too. Doug does need some help, that's why whenever I am there waiting, I'll answer the phone for him ... others do too. Trouble is, if he employs office help that person will not have the same knowledge that Doug and Minhea have and will always be interrupting them while they are working on (your) car.

It is a predicament that any small highly specialised tuner/mechanic/body shop etc faces. I have very close first hand experience of this with family doing a similar thing (but not Audi, so you're OK Doug!!).

That's my 2p...so that makes 4p so far.

Whilst it is hard (not imposible) to get through on the telephone Doug responds to emails within the day generally which is good.

I've pm'd doug in the past and he's replied within a couple of days. MRC is going to be my next 'specialist' as the last one I used does not measure up to my expectations

I had no problems getting through or getting in at short notice.
Maybe I was lucky?

I would agree with the sentiments though, when I had my remap done he has to close up for the "rolling road" test :D
Maybe they should just get a receptionist type person in, simply to answer the phones and handle bookings etc?

maybe MRC should open a branch in south london to cover inside of the M25..hint hint..
then there would be more than 1 phone number to call and he could concentrate on the bigger stuff while the health checks and oil service's could be turned around thus giving him more time to make your cars go faster..

Believe me guys I persevered for 3 weeks then finally gave up. I needed a full service. Anyway I've almost saved up for H&R Anti roll bars and a Milltek cat back exhaust .

Hopefully MRC will be able to install these for me. Will a tweak on the map necessary? Wonder what the charge for that tweak would be as Doug has already remapped the S4 and I paid the full whack plus the healthcheck
