Oil in Bipipe

Post by viperbl » Thu May 24, 2007 9:47 am

Guys,

After reading back through the posts I could find, it would seem that oil in the bipipes is normal.

My paranoia is starting because the passenger side pipe is dry, but the driver’s side has a very noticeable amount of oil in it???

Oh, the guy did a lovely job tig welding it; hopefully that’s the end of the TBB problems forever for me!!!! :D

Normally its the passenger side that gets more oil...

Did he also weld up the small crack/hole?

I read that in another post ... hmm ... not more problems! Please!!

Yeah, he ground out my chemical metal job (which I though was very nice :P) and tig welded it properly!

It just came to me!!

Because I have MRC's FMIC, it passes the charged air from the left turbo over the right side of the bi-pipe and vice versa now!!! So, ie, getting more oil in the drivers side instead of the "normal" passengers side!!!

Any ideas why the nearside gets more oil?????

You're right!

It's because the engine breather enters the Y pipe on top of the engine on the passenger side
