RS4 downpipes and intercoolers...

Post by MarkB » Mon Apr 02, 2007 11:46 am

In the next month or so I hope to get my RS4 downpipes and intercoolers fitted.

At the weekend got a bench mark power run that showed Max power at about 4.5K RPM The car also went rich over this point so may have been limiting the top end power.

What I'm wondering, will the better breathing help lean out the top end?

Just seen GrahamS4's power figures with just a remap. Now I'm not happy :( 250bhp and 360 lb-ft @ wheels.

Unless this map starts to work much better with the new parts fitted I think its time on the car is numbered!

Is it a characteristic of the Dynojet dyno or is your power curver very "bumpy"?

I think it's just not smoothed. I think the others on the day were similar, but can't be sure

not a straight swap..slight modification to the panel under the headlight and inside the wings..also need to shrouds and pipes..not alot of work just alittle involved...

Instead of doing RS4 Intercoolers and DPs Your better off doing AWE intercoolers and ASPs 3" dps youll get more power, better flow and better spool.
