if so, why? or why two outlets?

just going by the xr4x4 twinturbos, the ic had 2 inlets one from each turbo, and 1 outlet to the TB, when people had custom front ones made

fits with the oem pipework to the throttle body easily, i agree with you would be much easier otherwise, the engine bay is quite cramped at the front.
