I'm not convinced by ceramic coating of turbo's and manifolds but do like the look of these

What do others think?

I have some gold F1 style tape here. I am not sure what the maximum operating temperature of it is though, probably not high enough for turbo's.

When I get around to it, I will use it for shield the airbox.

well ceramic is also used for speeding up exhaust gas exit on the surface, reflecting more energy back on to the turbine wheel and increasing the life of those parts, i don't think it is primarily for insulating against heat to stop it spreading around your engine bay and intake, for which your solution here is more to that point.

A few years back wrapped a fancy manifold with similar stuff, yep the underbonnet temps went down but the heat ended up elsewhere on the exhaust system.
Ended up melting the exhaust rubbers!

I thought the ceramic coating was on the outside, not the inside?

I can beleave that! but the exhaust has the advantage of being in the free air under the car.

When the time comes I'm tempted to do the manifold, turbo exhuast housing and upper downpipe.

Possibly also reflective covering over the inlet pipework
