If the price is right and you know a bit about the history of a set of used turbo's would it be sensible to fit them to another car?

I would get them refurbed regardless - it is usually less than £150 per turbo to get them checked and the seals / bearings replaced.

I had a set rebuilt by AET to a closer tolerance than Audi spec - service was good, but they are still in the box from my S4 days.

I'll take a look, thanks

Why don't you sell them? or are they now spares for yours?

Try doubling that price as a minimum and upto £700 per turbo if they need more work

I got both of mine done for £650, and they both needed cores! They should be able to check them for you for a reasonable amount?

Mark
I may be able to assist
The exchange S4 turbo will cost you £449 ea +vat, many of these are re-cored rather than re-built
New S4 turbo non exchange is £599 ea + vat
As a extra bit, new non exchange RS4 turbos are available at £744 ea + vat
Give me a ring when you are ready

I have a question on this topic: are 2nd hand K03's worth anything cash wise?

I ask because i've just had new K04's put on so have my old K03's lying around (at MRC) - they've done 74K miles but are in very good condition for their mileage - I'm sure everyone will say they're worth feck all but just thought i'd ask just in case ....
