Anyone know the difference between the above?
Things like,
At what RPM do they spool up?
How well do they hold boost to the redline?
What kinda of HP/Torque can be expected from each with an RS4 engine with larger injectors and fuel pump.
I need to decide which one hybrid I am gonna get ....

540 crank HP max I'd say for either. The hot side is too small for anything higher than that. If you want proper power, get modified RS6 turbos, they're really worth it!!!

I've been told the KO4/RS6 have a smoother power curve ...

Stop it!

I would love to! but the bank (or shud I say credit card

) manager is saying no!

I know I know I know but IMHO and IME straight RS6 turbos (modded to fit) do a better overall job... That's what I'm going with next, unless I get tempted by the GT series demon tempting me....

If only that could be 100% profit and all of it could go towards my GT conversion.... I wish... anyone know how to build turbos here? lol

How much would it be to buy & fit some mod'd RS6's... including all the other essential bits?
And what on earth are the GT series thingy's???

Jacob recommended k04/rs6 base over the k04/24 cos of the small hot side thingy could not cope with anything over low rpm boosting

GT - I assume you mean Garrett GT2x? I saw APS or whoever they are in the states were developing a GT28 based setup for the S4... given the GT25 managed 1.9bar the 28's must be mental. Laggy on the 1.8t though... anyone done it? Any results?
New manifolds though

The GT28 kit for S4 is about $13k. You need lots of other stuff beside manifolds (downpipes, oil and water lines, inlet pipes, outlet pipes etc.). The
GT series looks like a much better designed and more reliable turbo to me though (But I'm no expert

)

I thought Garret didn't make a turbo that runs well from 1.35L of exhaust gases? While the GT turbos will make decent power at high rpm the compressor maps available mean serious lack of power mid range?

Looks like you are making more power than a chipped car after 3500RPM.
