I am new to the Audi world and just looking for info on front brake setups. What i am wondering is it possible to fit RS4 front brake setup onto my A6.

If so what is needed to fit them or is it just a straight swap.

I have 18" RS4 wheels so clearance should be fine.

Any pointers or info would be great.

I think you may need uprights of a later A4 or S4/RS4. I think the hole spacing for the caliper got larger.

Do you have any pics of the hub mount or dimensions of the spacing between the two caliper mounting holes also if you could measure the offset of the mounting holes relative to the disk mounting face I might be able to tell you if they will fit.

But this would involve removing your caliper and disk. Not a particularly difficult job. Mind you, you might need a long bar as the bolts can be bloody tight. I know from experience and I've heard of several others who have struggled when they didn't have enough leverage. An impact gun helps.

I fitted RS6 calipers to my RS4 and have my RS4 calipers sitting in the garage waiting to go into my loft. I'm not selling them but I'm willing to measure it out for you.

If you're really nice I might let you borrow the disk and caliper to see if fits but with only 3 posts on here I've no idea who you are so I hope you'll understand if I'm a little reluctant at first to let loose around my place - I'm in Aberdeen.

Check the caliper spacing. I have my old S4 calipers in the garage so could check to see if yours are the same.

I am sure lot would be easier to fit S6 or RS6 discs and pads. As the offsett of the A6/S6 discs is different to the A4/S4/RS4.

Ah, sorry only just noticed this is for an A6 not an A4... I have no idea now if any of it will fit...
