Trouble is, an indicated 310km/h is almost definately not accurate, more like 280-290 km/h, which puts it in the 175 -180 mph territory - even DavidT can beat that in his S4

dnt think that was his brakes..just the exhaust note as he came of the throttle..

I agree, we know its quick, but certainly less that indicated on the Speedo.

I am in the processes of getting a nice little GPS video overlay device which updates about 4 times a second, so at the next VMAX we should be able to see my top speed in the video, along with a shot of the Speedo itself to prove it once and for all

Still impressive.

I'd like a VMAX run. Hmmmm......wonders about an Audi only VMAX event at Bruntingthorpe......

Is it just me or do others think that other vehicles would be looking a little more stationary at that kind of speed. I'm sure they did to me at 190+ mph

Yeah Phil, on looking at it again I would agree, I suspect one camera, little bit of editing to drop in some "out the window" footage and there we go ....

I have some footage when I was doing 180 and its looks quick, but suprisingly it does not look quick until you get to 160+ I would say!

Sounds a bit harsh. I have 4mph over-read at 170 - apply that %age to the above and you're looking at around 187mph....
