had my car uprated at MRC this week, they fitted a load of s/h rs4 bits plus rs4/rs6 hybrid turbos, low compression head gaskets 600 injectors and full rs4 miltek, estimated 470. awesome power delivery, was doing 100mph and a astra came behind and flashed me, floored it in 6th and took off like a rocket, lost my bottle at 150 although the car was still pulling strong with plenty of revs left. big thank you to Doug

Your a braver man than me Tony.....
I never manged to get the car to run lambda control on even once we had changed both lambda sensors...
The guys are not sure what is going on so I think it may require a full day up there with them. On another note though we did manage approx 365g/s I think Doug said.....apparently that equates to 470bhp ish. So even though I'm running a lean mixture by choice (and not as much timing as I could as a result), she is running very well.....

Wow whiskey...
How long did it take and how much did it set you back wtih MRC? Any chance of a break down in costs so us boys dreaming of the day can get some rough figures?

I could but Doug is a busy man... no point getting a formal quote at this point if I am not ready to take the leap just yet...

Whisky, can you give a ball park figure for the hybrids, and what advantages over OEM RS4 turbos do they offer? i.e. more flow at the top end or less lag, quicker spool etc...

hi guys, sorry been away on holiday just got back. having a niggling teething problem, the amount of boost is pushing the i/c pipes forward and the r/h one is engaging the fan blade, instant hole, instant lack of boost. dougs been good as gold, changed the pipe twice but its gone again. solution :- apr bipipe. problem 5-6 week backorder tony's not a happy bunny. am trying a direct order to the usa but cant get any answer as yet watch this space

hi nige ive never had oem rs4 tubos on the car so i cant compare them all ican say is that with the hybrids, when the power kicks in ( about 500rpm higher than norm) it pulls all the way to the red line, and does it pull. as for prices i had a lot of other things done and a lot of s/h parts fitted so u would really need to speak to mrc. would i recomend having it done. u bet. i am already talking about rs4 heads throttle body etc 530 bhp+

take the fan off until the bipipe arrives ! just keep an eye on the temps.
