Boost on RS4 B5......

What is the maximum pressure (in bar) KO4 turbo's can run without taking the risq of a big BAAAAAAAAAANG!!? What pressure should be the safe limit??

1.2 BAR and 1.5 peak pressure....

Nah its higher than that, 1.4 BAR and 1.7 PEAK at least.

I thought 1.5Bar peak was the safe limit too!

I'm running with constant 1,5bar with the overboost up to 1,7bar. I did 10.000 kms with such boost pressure and it's still ok. I examined both turbos last week - their condition was perfect.
If you will take care of your oils (engine, gear box, diff.), spark plugs and filters your turbos and engine shouldn't have any problem with such boost.
