After having a chat with my local tuner TRAC ART in ASHFORD KENT, can anybody on here shed any light on having my S3 GIAC ed,and also has any one been to this web site
www.full-race.com, if you go to the store and then to turbo maniflds you will find one for the 1.8t with the option of fitting a small turbo or a very big one.all the turbos are garret t series with the smallest offering 400whp and the biggest offering 700whp,not being very bright about these sort of things,I thought that you could not get more than 450bhp ouy of a 1.8t engine, has any one had any dealings with yank tuners

If it were me I would use MRC for my chip etc.
If you have a look on S2 forum you will see in the projects section a guy ( Timusin Not sure if that spelling is right) bought tuning gear from the US and most of the parts failed. I looked into bigger turbos and miniflods when I had my S2 and the stuff from US does look very cheap but never got round to buying any of it as I sold my car.

Only heard of GIAC from a review of a modified S3 in Audi Driver magazine last year (Sept/Oct), but it only seemed to mention software - no turbo's. The car featured was the demonstrator for Regal Autosport in Southampton (
http://www.vag-tuner.com/).
The GIAC software seems to be pretty much off-the-shelf - if your are considering other mod's then you would see more benefit from a custom remap that can be done by the likes of MRC, who have built a fairly solid reputation. You could also look at AmD/QST - both are mainly VAG specialists.
