B6 S4 Brake Options

Post by Scotty » Sat Jun 24, 2006 10:02 pm

I don't want to change wheels as I have a track and road set which are the same size and offset and hence I have tyres etc.

I've spoke to loads of manufacturers but it seems most want me to put on spacers or bigger wheels?

Any ideas?

If fact is is worth changing them? Their quite big calipers so are there decent fast road/track pads that will work?

Any help appreciated.

p.s. Clive H - you were quite correct. This should have it's own thread.

Scotty,

The B6 S4 brakes are apparently a good improvement on the B5 items, but if you want some better stopping power then you should be looking at big brake kits like Porsche, Movit, Stoptech, Brembo. The new RS4 (B7) are also very popular (made by Brembo) and of course OEM.

Horses for course really.

Are you dissatisfied with the existing brakes? Do you intend to track the car?
