i do like the idea of the vacuum flapper on the rs4 airbox idea for fuel economy on a long distance cruise (afterall who doesn't somewhat with petrol prices!) but what mods have you on yours like cut outs or removing the vacuum flap or just standard. i like the look of 'the boost machine' TT's can use from 'modshack' with twin ducted inlets into an induction kit thats an option as an induction kit, what other options are out there?

i am still toying with the idea of cutting a slot in the bonnet dead inline with the slam panel entry into the airbox..i,ve been doing some investigating into it..i like the mini cooper idea to..so watch this space..

the intake discussion? yeah i remember we decided some induction kits lost torque low down and a few hp top end... i'm not sure whether to go rs4 airbox or induction kit.. to be honest i'm not bothered too much about up to 3000rpm, 2.7 v6 is capable of driving fine at those speeds without trouble i'm more interested in 3000rpm to 8000rpm+ region.. if there is significant flow gain to be had up there i may go with an induction kit rather than the box...

my idea wasnt to add anything to the airbox it was just to allow a direct feed into the airbox through the bonnet rather than going through the grill,over the rad then into the intake.. @davs4 that too mite work it just needs sum1 with the balls to do it..

@ woody I need a new wing as it happens so I may try it.... I know it worked well on my Corrado.

interesting practically a good idea , couldn't do that to the bonnet myself though , but good idea then you don't have to worry about water sucked up from ground level i shall watch with interest

Yes Kim collins at QST has done it on a Audi cabriolet that he coverted with RS2 engine and transmission, to be honest it looks great, however cost of respray etc would be considerable.
