Toyo Tyres

As you may know already I have been running Toyo tyres on my ex S2 and now on my RS4. I love 'em, Why?

I have just had a new set of tyres fitted, and here are some points which sumarise why I like them so much:

1. They are between half and two thirds of the cost of other makes.
2. I haven't had any bent rims, since using these.
3. They are great in the wet and in the dry.
4. If the tyres are rotated at 5000 miles, they should last in the region of 10000 miles (Note: This includes 3 track days - Hockenheim, Nurburgring, and Donnington.)
5. They have 'rim protection' i.e. a large amount of rubber overlap to avoid gentle kerbing.

The only downside is the load rating. They are currently only available as 90Y for the RS4. I don't have an issue with this, but some might. I also think that this has a lot to do with why I am not bending rims.

I have asked my tyre dealer to get some competitive prices for us to source tyres from him, fitted or supply only. I have also asked him to look for some suitable track tyres. Is this worthwhile? I don't want to waste his time, so any feedback appreciated.
