Porsche brakes=Worse stopping performance.

Interesting read that goes against the big is best theory. So unless you suffer from massive brake fade during track use it would suggest that stock is best. What do you think.

I can assure you the 993TT braking system upgrade on my S3 is a major improvement over stock both on the road and on the track. Maybe this is because our master cylinder can cope with these sized brakes whereas other cars cannot, and therefore will be more suited to having smaller pistons (or a more biased braking system)
M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.

I have suffered from serious brake fade on a couple of occasions in my S4 (stock brakes). They basically have one high speed stop in them before losing feel and stopping ability! I wouldn't expect a big porsche brake kit to stop me much quicker, but I would expect them to do it over and over again ;)

The 350z also appears to have pretty good brakes to start with ....brembo caliper on 324mm discs.

There is absolutely no comparison between stock and the ECS stave IV kit I had on my S4.

Better pedal feel, more progressive and sh*t loads more stopping power from any speed.

That's not a report, it's an advert - look at the last paragraph .... "click here to buy" ... says it all to me!

If you like I could change it too:-

Porsche front brake upgrade-Potentially fatal front to rear brake bias issues.

Just kidding, I just thought it was a good read and made some valid points. As an engineer I liked the fact that consideration was given to car balance and not just ulitmate braking power at either end. It even suggested that the std brakes are still to front biased for the minimum stopping distance. I agree that it does not include issues such as fade and like most things is going to be aimed at marketing although the chart was for an S4 and not 350z as per the article.
