has any1 made there own audi coilovers..?? i converted my mk1 rs2000 escort shocks in2 coilovers many years ago and i wonder if it could be done on audi shocks..there,s a few rs4 shocks for sale and i,m sure it can be done..shock 2 coil kit about 37.00 and strut 2 coil kit about 26.00..im soon going for the H&R kit and im sure my S4 shocks will make a grt donor..just a thought... :redrs4:

oem shocks have coil springs not coilovers..coilovers have a threaded sleeve as part of the shock body which u can adjust 4 ride height..only way 2 lower a car on oem is 2 fit smaller spring..but by removing the spring seat on an oem shock u can fit the treaded sleeve thus makin coilovers..hey presto..well it works on some shock..and i,ll be experimentin on my old 1,s soon enough.. :redrs4:
