I want to get MRC to remap my car,
but what else should be done(in reason) to allow for the extra boost pressures etc?
P.S. The c/c is overloaded from christmas so be gentle!!

When MRC checked over my car before the remap it was evident that both diverter valves were knackered and the MAF was under reading. I got some 710N DVs from Vagparts (about £15 each) and a new MAF from Audi on exchange (£90). Other than that I'd suggest making sure all hoses, connectors etc are sound

We usually pull hyperboost diverters off as they leak - most aftermarket DVs will leak after time. MAF gets checked before a remap and we have them in stock. A full pressure test is done on the car - most have leaks.
Of course bigger ICs and exhaust will make a big difference

Hi Doug,
Thanks for looking over the car on Saturday. Car feels a lot more responsive now in all gears......see you soon for some more goodies
What cone filter did you recommend to get a sharper airflow?
Cheers

Yup, not far away at all. I'm working nights for the most part of the week, but could meet at the weekend?

hi every1 just trying to keep up with s4jem at the mo..doug are u suggesting removing the airbox totally and fitting the pipe, air filter in its space..with a heatshield of sorts..(just so i,m clear on it)..and would that fit on the maf or would u have to use a bit of hose..(sorry to be thick)
you,d never guess i was a trained mechanic wud ya..

just so i,m understanding whats going on..and would the induction noise increase lots or only a bit..
