I think it's time for a new clutch (see http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... ic&p=80477) so I'll get AmD to fit a new one.

I'll get their advice on what to fit, but I'd appreciate others' opinions too.

Currently I have a stage 2 car, and won't go to a higher stage unless my turbos fail. If they do then I'll probably just get a 'standard' K04 (i.e. around 400 bhp) job done. So clearly what clutch I get fitted needs to be suitable for that too.

I have decided NOT to get a lightened flywheel, and I definitely don't want a paddle clutch which I know will be too 'sharp' for me. So the AmD options are stage 1 (http://www.amdtechnik.com/product.detai ... enceID=538) or stage 2 (http://www.amdtechnik.com/product.detai ... enceID=542). Alternatively I could ask for something else.

Question - why do you need to go to AMD to fit a clutch - are they the closest garage to you? Surely any decent garage can do it?

p.s. VAGPARTs can supply and new RS4 clutch for £227+VAT - how does this compare with AMD's prices?

'cos I'm going there for the 80K service, cambelt & waterpump, DTS, 4 wheel alignment, RR check etc. Might as well get it all done at the same time.

AmD are charging £399+Vat for the stage 1, which is partly why I posted this question.

AMD's prices are ridiculous IMHO. If you insist on them doing it, get the
parts yourself.

A standard RS4 clutch is well up to the job, upto you about the lighten flywheel. I personlly would fit one. makes alot of difference I think.

Rs4 clutch is very good if you want to keep stock like driveability IMHO. I find it quite durable too having done many Quarter Mile runs with no issues at all.

Is that including fitting?? If you arent going for mad power then stock RS4 clutch should od the job just fine. It would be nice and smooth too.

Price is supply only....

I'd stick to the stock RS4 clutch.
