dyno run with chip + exhaust - some problems

Post by itaplikeabiatch » Tue Apr 19, 2005 1:32 pm

i posted this on the rs4 forum but i'm hoping for more information from this forum,

so i went for my dyno run today.
i have an oettinger chip plus full sports milltek exhaust with 100 cell cats.

i had to drive 1 hour there as they moved to a new location and the weather was hot, over 30 degrees celcius.
anyway the car got onto the dyno and they had a few runs but stopped coz the car was getting too hot, plus their new location is in a big warehouse.

the final result was that the car pulled nicely during the mid rev ranges, however once it got to its previous peak (just oettinger chip), it fell off and flattened off when it should of kept on charging up to over 230kw atw (which it was trending towards).

anyway, who here has done the dyno comparisons? and who has had similar results such as what i am facing?

the car is stronger during the mid ranges and i can feel the difference but the dyno results show that it falls off at the peak.

thanks
will

Need a Vagcom log to elaborate further, could be heat soak with the IAT getting to hot and backing off the boost. You don't mentio whether this was just this day or a all round issue with the car since fitting the exhaust.

Log throttle position, boost actual, requested, IAT, Time, o2 voltages.
